Giveaway: Red Gold Tomatoes and Apron

Giveaway

Red Gold is currently hosting their Red Gold Summer Grillin’ Party and in honor of the event are offering a fantastic giveaway of an apron and tomatoes to one lucky reader.

I love using canned tomatoes all year long for my many recipes. I usually can my own, but as you know, last year my tomato garden did not fare so well and I wasn’t able to can any. Luckily canned tomatoes like Red Gold are readily available and add that nice flavor to any dish. Especially on a grilled pizza!

final pizza before grilling

I made my delicious Easy Pizza on the Grill over the weekend using the Basil, Garlic and Oregano Red Gold Tomatoes and they were fantastic! They added a nice hint of sweet flavor, along with the basil and tomato flavor that I so crave on my pizzas. I would use them on my pizza any day (except for when I have fresh tomatoes out of the garden, but that’s only 2 months of the year).

The kit also contains some scrumptious grilling recipes like a Stuffed-Veggie Portobello Burger- mmmm. There are so many things you can do with these tomatoes that I suggest letting your mind go wild and enjoy the flavors.

I like my homemade pizza with a little sriracha mixed in with the sauce, a thin layer of cheese, then red onion, jalepeno, italian sausage, pepperoni, bacon, sometimes a lil bbq sauce, pineapple, and then a nice top layer of cheese. I’ll often top it with a lil italian seasoning.
