It’s the Little Things: Snow and Dogs

Joyful pups in the first fresh snow of the season

“…there’s just something beautiful about walking on snow that nobody else has walked on. It makes you believe you’re special…” ― Carol Rifka BruntTell the Wolves I’m Home

The beauty of the first snowfall cannot begin to compete with the joy from watching the dogs play in it. They are ridiculous. Tripping over themselves in an effort to get to every fresh inch of snow before the other. Pepper, the bichon, is about as tall as the snow is high, so he becomes a bulldozer. While Memphis, the golden retriever, is more interested in making it all into a game of tag. An instant mood-lifter (and perfect for a Monday).

Snowball fun with dogs one and two

“Snow flurries began to fall and
they swirled around people’s legs like house cats.
It was magical, this snow globe world.”

Oh Pepper, you are so cute!!! I can’t wait until next year… we are going to fence in our back yard and then I can let the girls run around in the snow. Right now, I’d be afraid they’d get away!
