Me shooting and the image I captured (using my prime 100mm macro lens)
My Equipment: I grew up using Minolta, so Sony seemed like the smart option when I finally converted to a dSLR.
Camera Body: Sony A850 – I love my Sony, though I worry about its future in the dSLR world, which makes it potentially an uncertain “investment”, but since I’m already in deep, I’ll just go with it until I no longer can.
Lenses:
Sony 35mm f/1.4 – My go-to lens when I know I’m probably going to be in some darker situations where my wide angle won’t work as well. Or when I’m feeling like fixed lens sort of day.
Zeiss 85mm f/1.4 – Absolutely amazing for portraits. If I’m planning on shooting faces, this is the lens I have with me!
Konica Minolta 17-35, f/2.8-4 – My absolute favorite lens. Probably on my camera 85% of the time
Sony 100 mm/Macro f/2.8 – Macro- enough said :c)
Minolta Maxxum 70-210/Macro f/4 (beercan) – I use less of this lens over the years. I guess I’ve fallen in love with the big picture more than the up close and personal shot. This definitely is a great lens to have, just not my favorite (I should mention that a lot of times I’ll use my fixed 100 mm/Macro to get a bit closer to the subject, as it’s way less bulky than this lens)
Flash: Sony HVL-F58AM
My “set-up” in my studio with my flash on camera, on a tripod and the image I captured of my puppy.
Tripod with rotating head- Manfrotto
Tiffen 55mm Polarizer
MacBook Pro and use Lightroom.
Not to be forgotten: my, now defunct, iPhone 4 and new, very cool iPhone 5 (My Instagram stream is iPhone only)
