Baked Patacones

Baked Patacones uses the thick texture of the plantain to create a cookie-like texture. For the perfect snack- add a layer of refried black beans to the top which compliments that slight sweetness from the plantain, combined with the touch of salt.

Plátanos Fritos or Fried Plantains takes advantage of the sweet flavors. I love it in the mornings for breakfast with scrambled eggs and black beans!
