Chihuly Exhibit at Cheekwood Botanical Garden in Nashville, TN in 2010
There is something magical about visiting parks and communing with nature. I especially love visiting parks that have a significant focus on nature, education and conservation- the botanical gardens and arboretums. I try to go whenever there is a new exhibit at the ones nearest me.
Artistic installations that enhance the beauty of their surroundings (and themselves through their surroundings) are always worth the visit!
A few examples I have been fortunate enough to see:
Chihuly at Cheekwood Botanical Garden in Nashville, TN, 2010
Steve Tobin’s “Steel Roots” at The University of MN Landscape Arboretum, in Chaska, MN from April 27 to January 2012
Other exhibits that are worth seeing in the next few months and year:
Morton Arboretum in Chicago, Illinois for Nature Unframed through November 27, 2011
Chihuly Garden and Glass in Seattle, WA, will be completed in Spring of 2012!
Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, AZ is featuring David Rogers’ Big Bugs through January 1, 2012
What other exhibits have you seen that I’ve missed?
