As 2013 wraps up I thought it would be a good time to reflect on the year past and to send you all my thanks and gratitude. PicklesTravel’s traffic and readership has grown 4 times that which it was in 2012, all thanks to you!
In 2013 I had wanted to give you more meals straight from the garden, but we had terrible weather the first few months of spring in Minnesota, so my sweet corn didn’t grow and my tomatoes didn’t produce much of anything. Hopefully 2014 will be better so that I can share more delicious ways of preserving your garden bounty.
Some exciting things for me regarding my food blogging was having a few of my recipes and images accepted onto FoodGawker.com. I also was able to return to Spain this spring for a visit, which reminded me of some of the delicious meals I had been missing. I shared a few of those recipes with you this year, and will have plenty more to come next.

2014 will be an equally big year. I plan to continue to blog a recipe twice a week, as well as a putting up a weekly travel post. Personally it will be huge and busy because I am getting married. While I won’t bore you with details, I may share my food experiments with you. We plan on having a Pie Potluck Wedding, so it’ll be all about the desserts- I’m excited!
