The churches of Saint Paul, Minnesota are unbelievably beautiful. Taking a day to drive by them, walk around them or even worship inside of them is well worth the effort. Both of these churches pictured have gorgeous vaulted ceilings that are worth experiencing.
Like every old building, they have their stories and have seen a lot of change in their neighborhoods, especially First Baptist Church in Lowertown St. Paul. Less than 10 years ago there was almost no life in it’s area, and now Lowertown is one of the hottest spots in the Twin Cities.
The Cathedral of Saint Paul pictured through the skyway below sits up the hill and can be seen for miles- gracing the horizon with its beauty.
Fantastic downtown St. Paul churches not to be missed:
Cathedral of St. Paul: 239 Selby Avenue
Central Presbyterian Church: 500 Cedar Street
Church of the Assumption: 51 West 7th Street (self-guided tour brochures are available online for this church)
Church of St. Louis King of France: 506 Cedar Street
First Baptist Church: 499 Wacouta Street
The Cathedral of St. Paul is so stunning. I just photographed it inside and out in May…. so stay tuned for a blog post on it! :)
Can’t wait to see it!! I need to check out the inside sometime- sometime VERY soon!
