Making shredded chicken wrap sandwiches is a great use for leftover chicken. You’ll have most of the ingredients on hand and ready to use- and the best part is that substitution is king, so experiment with ingredients that you do have at home.
Chicken breasts or leftover rotisserie chicken work best for this wrap, but any of the meat from a chicken will work. Add some spice, like buffalo sauce, some extra flavors of cheese and tomatoes and you have a delicious meal that’s ready to go.
Buffalo Chicken Wrap Recipe
Wraps are easy to make. All you have to do is lay out all the ingredients and roll up the tortilla. Just make sure you place all the ingredients in a long row in the middle of your tortilla, as shown in the photo above- this will make rolling it up so much easier.
To create the wrapped tortilla effect: Roll up tortilla by slightly folding in sides towards the center as you fold the side nearest you upwards toward the top of the tortilla. Roll wrap away from you keeping all of the inside fillings tight. Slice wrap in half and serve.
If you are a big fan of spice you can add more than 2 Tbsp. of buffalo sauce, if you know your preferences are more on the mild side try it with only 1 Tbsp. to start. You can always add more, but it’s hard to take away the spice once you’ve added it.
If you’re like my family and like ranch dressing then it’s a good idea to have a side of dressing available too. Or try a blue cheese dressing side- blue cheese and buffalo sauce are a flavor combination that was made to be together!
