I have been nominated for a Liebster Award! It’s basically a big deal for the those of us still spreading our wings out in the blogging world. It’s an award for bloggers by bloggers. As you’ll see below, I have nominated some of my favorite blogs as the bloggers before me have done.

Here are the 11 questions that The Blissful Mrs. has given me to answer:
- Favorite Color: Blue
- What made me want to start a blog: I was doing quite a bit of traveling and taking a lot of photos that just ended up sitting on my computer, forgotten. I figured a blog would be a great way to share my photography and be a new challenge.
- Favorite Place to which I have traveled: Guatemala and Spain hold a special places in my heart. I think it’s because they were places and times in my life that completely changed me.
- City or Country: Either or. I currently live in the country and love it. I have also lived in the heart of the city, but I could never, ever live in the suburbs- I need either a lot of space or an incredibly walkable city life.
- Favorite Animal: Dogs- my dog, Pepper Jones, to be specific.
- I love using airline miles to travel internationally- and you can do it on relatively few miles if you get the tickets enough in advance. Planning ahead can make all the difference when it comes to a cheap flight across the ocean.
- Favorite food to cook: Love to make lasagna of all kinds. Buffalo Chicken Lasagna is a favorite at home!
- Would you rather live up north or down south: Up North. Minnesota is definitely north, but I’d even live in northern Canada- it’s so beautiful up there!
- Favorite vegetable and how you like to cook it: Can my answer be cucumbers pickled into pickles… :-)
- Cruise or Ski Resort: I’m not really a cruise or resort sort of person. I’d rather do my own thing.
- Have you tried DIY? How did it turn out: I’d say every time I cook or experiment with a new recipe it’s a DIY… usually it turns out great, sometimes it’s gross and I have to laugh as my husband pretends to enjoy it.
11 Random Facts About Myself:
- Pickles are my favorite food and food group- Anything with vinegar really.
- I am the fourth generation to live on my family farm.
- I have three special boys in my life- my husband, baby and dog.
- I have lived in four different countries for 6 months or more (Spain, USA, Costa Rica, and Chile).
- I’m obsessed with high tea. I even have a pinterest board dedicated to it.
- I won’t wear shorts no matter how hot it is.
- My “real” job is as a REALTOR with Edina Realty.
- My parents live next door- in our barn.
- I am obsessed with Instagram (@Gretcholi)
- I used to be a die hard PC girl, now I am all Apple.
- I’d pick cold weather over hot and humid any day.

- Postcards to Seattle – Marissa shares her adventures across the world and the pacific northwest and has some amazing outdoor adventures which always motivate me to get out and do more!
- Ze Wandering Frogs – Any couple who names their blog that has to be awesome, right?! And these guys are- lots of great adventures and I love this apt description of themselves “world travelers with a French twist.”
