Geary, Oklahoma: population 1,280. One of those towns that you drive through on the way to another- most of the time. But most of the time it’s worth stopping to take a second look. If I have time I always stop and Geary had some hidden treasures to offer up to those that stop.
There are some beautiful old, long forgotten businesses and buildings in Geary, but the thing that jumped out most of all was the FFA Buffalo sitting along the main drag of Highway 8.
A statue made by the FFA with various designs making up the interior of the buffalo, including a Superman symbol, a heart, football, letters, words and more – each of them with symbolic meaning to one of the students involved in the process, I’m sure.
What a fun statue! I especially love the image with the shadow! Well done!
